The Conference served as a platform for key stakeholders to discuss potential solutions to fight against corruption and restore business integrity in ASEAN, creating a level playing field and promoting long-term sustainability and success for businesses as well as the ASEAN region as a whole. Enforcing ethical business regulations, promoting ethical and sustainable business models, mitigating risks in public procurement, and peer learning on what works and what does not work in restoring business integrity were the key topics. The Working Group on Business Integrity in ASEAN also met up, along with partners to provide an update on their respective efforts and launch the Regional Integrity Pledge called “Integrity Has No Borders” Pledge, showing their commitment and support for the business integrity movement in ASEAN. "8 March marks International Women’s Day. It is a global day in celebration of women’s many achievements as well as a call for gender parity. In ASEAN, women’s rights have incrementally been improved but much can still be done. This can be promoted as part of Human Rights which is part of CSR and in turn, part of responsible business.”- Ms. Pensri Suteerasan, Deputy Chair, ASEAN CSR Network |
