ACN is partner in pilot study on perceptions of responsible and inclusive business in ASEAN

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is partnering with the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) and ASEAN CSR Network (ACN) on a study to measure the perceptions of companies on the responsible and inclusive business environment in Southeast Asia. It is envisioned that findings from the study could better inform policymakers in ASEAN countries.

ACN supports regional forum to promote safe labour migration

The Regional Multi-Stakeholder Forum: Responsible Business Conduct for Safe Labour Migration in ASEAN, organised by the Department of Labour and Employment of the Philippines with support from the ASEAN Secretariat, was held from 19 to 20 September 2018 in Manila, the Philippines.

The Forum was organised in collaboration with ASEAN CSR Network (ACN), International Labour Organisation, International Organisation for Migration, UN Women and the Swiss Development Cooperation – Global Programme Migration and Development. ACN CEO Mr Thomas Thomas also presented on the ASEAN Guidelines for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on Labour at the Forum.

ACN and SHIFT hold consultations to better measure business respect for human rights

A Valuing Respect Project Consultation was held on 29 August 2018 at Concorde Hotel, Singapore in collaboration with SHIFT. This was the first ASEAN region meeting for the recently launched Valuing Respect Project, which aims to develop better ways to evaluate business respect for human rights.

The ASEAN Responsible Business Forum was held from 27 to 28 August 2018 in Singapore. This flagship event of the ASEAN CSR Network (ACN) aims to enhance understanding of the role of responsible and inclusive business in creating an inclusive, resilient and sustainable ASEAN community.
